Ahlul Hadith Masjid Finder

A masjid founded upon Taqwa

Why this directory exists.

Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim.

Alhamdulillahi Rabb il-'Alamin, and Salat and Salam be upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his Aal and all his Sahaba.

Indeed, among the greatest blessings of Allah upon a Muslim in this era is that Allah grants him Tawfiq to adhere to the Sunnah, and to avoid Bida'ah and its people.

Verily, the Masaajid are the incubators of Imaan and the springs of Huda. The Salaf of the Ummah and its scholars have unanimously agreed that praying in the Masaajid of Ahlul Sunnah, and behind their Imams, is better, superior, and greater in Barakah than praying behind Ahlul Bidaa'. In fact, honoring the Sunnah necessitates being meticulous in one's 'Ibadah in times that Bida'a are widespread.

The Imams of Ahlul Sunnah used to be very strict in this matter out of protection for the Deen. The Imam of Ahlul Sunnah, Ahmad bin Hanbal RahimahuAllah, was asked: "I pass by on the street and hear the Iqamah, do you think I should pray?" He replied:

I used to be lenient in this, but now that Bida' have multiplied, do not pray except behind someone you know.

Ahmad bin Hanbal, RahimahuAllah

And our Rabb Subhanah said in the Quran:

A masjid founded upon Taqwa from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.

Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 108

The Imams of Islam and the Salaf have agreed that praying behind a Sunni Imam who is a follower of the Sunnah is better, superior and greater in Barakah than praying behind Ahlul Bida'.

Furthermore, Sheikhul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah RahimahuAllah mentioned that praying behind a caller to Bida'ah is Makrooh by the Ijma'; because the servant is commanded to desert him and rebuke him, while praying behind him negates the objective of deserting him.

The Imams have also narrated the Ijmaa' on the invalidity of praying behind someone whose Bid'ah reaches to Kufr.

Al-Athram said: I said to Abu 'Abdullah (Imam Ahmad): "The Rafidah who speak of that which you know [their kufr]?" He replied: "Yes, I command him to repeat (his Salat)." It was then said to Abu 'Abdullah: "And is this the case for all Ahlul Bida'?" He said:

No, among them are those who remain silent, and among them are those who hold back and do not speak so no need to repeat behind all of Ahlul Bida'.

Ahmad bin Hanbal, RahimahuAllah, as narrated by Al-Athram

From here came the idea for this website; to serve as a guide for the Muslim who strives for the pleasure of his Rabb, searching for the pure Masaajid that are clean from the impurities of Bida'.

For without any doubt, the Masaajid of Ahlul Sunnah are incubators for Tawheed, and minbar for guidance, where the Sunnan are revived and the Bida' are muted. And in adhering to them is honoring the Sunnah, just as the scholars have established in the past and the present.

We ask Allah to make this website Mubarak, and to make it a guide to Khayr. And Allah is the Granter of Tawfeeq and the Guide to the straight path.
