Most things are faster through a form
If your message is about a specific masjid, the forms route it straight into the right queue with the listing already attached, which is quicker than an email that has to be matched up by hand.
- A masjid is missing
- Add a masjid
- Timings are wrong or missing
- Use the "suggest a correction" link on that listing.
- Something on a listing is wrong
- Use the "report a problem" link on that listing.
If you run the masjid
Requests from a masjid's imam or committee go to the top of the queue. That includes correcting a listing, updating timings, adding a photograph, and asking to be removed from the site altogether.
We will not argue with a masjid about its own entry. If you tell us the listing is wrong, we will change it or take it down and then check, rather than the other way round.
Privacy, corrections and deletion
For anything about personal data, including asking what we hold or having it deleted, see the privacy page. Those requests go to our grievance officer and we act on them without asking you to prove anything beyond the number you originally gave us.
How long we take
- A problem with a photograph
- Taken down within a day while we look into it. The only thing we act on before checking.
- A wrong location
- About three days. Usually quick to confirm against satellite view.
- Everything else, including maslak reports
- About a week, because it means ringing the masjid.
These are targets rather than promises. If something is urgent, say so and why.
What we are not
This is a directory, not an authority. We do not rule on religious questions, mediate between masajid, or speak for any organisation. If a listing is wrong we will fix it, but that is the limit of what this site does.
